The "Fondation Nicole-Saint-Louis" established in 2001 commemorates the death of Nicole Saint-Louis who died of cancer at age twenty-four.  Because of her compassion and Christian testimony, family members decided to establish a charitable organization with the following objectives:

• To continue Nicole's acts of generosity by providing grants for scholastic advancement and

• To encourage evangelical belief consistent with Nicole's testimony.

Nicole, daughter of Yolande and Fernand Saint-Louis, was born in 1962.  She was the second of their three children.  She endeared herself to others because she was sensitive to their needs.  She was generous by nature.  She loved the Lord and testified on her faith in Jesus Christ.

At age twenty-three, she discovered she had cancer.  Doctors told her she might live only a few weeks.  In spite of her painful ordeal, she remained strong in her faith in Jesus Christ and witnessed to others about her Savior, touching many lives throughout Canada.
 

Why provide grants to students?

Nicole had many interests.  She excelled in art and drawing.  She studied Dental Hygiene and was a hair stylist.  Having herself been beneficiary of a grant for her collegiate studies, she gladly gave away her scholarship to someone that she considered needed it more than herself.  Faithful to her example,  "La Fondation Nicole-Saint-Louis" will allow students to receive contributions that will enable them to achieve a profession that they like.

How can a scholarship be obtained?

As soon as the foundation gets its official registered number anyone desiring to apply for a scholarship, will find the requirements and a request form on the Internet.  It is important that the Foundation contributes to the advancement of scholastic education and to the advancement of Christian evangelical belief, providing grants to new born-again evangelical Christians who will succeed at the academic level.  Candidates must sign the Foundation Faith Declaration document.
