The Board of Directors members are happy to
announce the Fondation Nicole-Saint-Louis' official launch and its Web
Site, after a year's preparation.
Established to the memory of Nicole-Saint-Louis,
who died of cancer at age
twenty-four, the Foundation is a registered charitable
organism
with the following objectives:
to continue Nicole's acts of generosity by providing grants for scholastic advancement and
to
encourage evangelical belief consistent with Nicole's
testimony.
In
fact, regardless of her painful ordeal, she remained strong in her faith in Jesus Christ and witnessed to others about her Savior, touching many lives throughout
the country.
The Foundation "Fondation
Nicole-Saint-Louis" will offer annually, according to the availability of
its funds, an or, several grants for $1000, to the
evangelical christian canditate who has a Canadian citizenship, has succeeded at an academic
level. One who has completed the request form
and has qualified to the following
criteria: Has succeeded at the academic level; Has
been a full-time student at a Specialised Institution, Professional High School program or at a Technical College that
meets the requirements of the Ministry of Education. She or he is a Born-again Christian, who participates
regularly at an Evangelical Church or Assembly.
Nicole, having herself been beneficiary of a grant for her collegiate studies, she gladly gave away her scholarship to someone that she considered needed it more than herself. Faithful to her example, "La Fondation Nicole-Saint-Louis"
will allow students to receive contributions that will enable them to achieve a profession that they like.
The first remittance of the, or of
several grants will be in August 2003. The date limit for the deposit of the
candidacies will be May 15 of each year. In respect to the criteria of impartiality
and for screening requirements, the Foundation will entrust, to an independent
committee the care of choosing the finalists, among the candidacies that are
most promising.
Anyone, an enterprise or an organization that stresses education will find the "Fondation Nicole-Saint-Louis" a way of enabling students to carry out a profession that they choose. You may
show your support with donations to the "Fondation Nicole-Saint-Louis" thus helping others to achieve their noblest goal in life!
